One camp wants floof; the other wants a warm alien that sits on your chest. Ranking cats is really ranking the life you want with one in it. A Bengal is a spectacular animal and a terrible idea if you work long hours. S-tier should be the breed you'd bring home tomorrow with the vet bills, the shedding and the 3am hallway sprints included. Putting a gorgeous cat up there is easy; putting one you'd genuinely live with is harder. The breeds that survive that second question are your S tier cat breeds. A-tier: nearly perfect, one small catch. B and C: wonderful for somebody, not necessarily for you and your apartment. D: the ones you'd admire from across a room and leave exactly there. Grooming, size and energy all count, and the breed that suits a quiet flat is rarely the one that suits a house full of kids.
