This policy explains how Tier List Maker ("we", "us") handles copyright complaints about material on https://www.mytiermaker.com (the "Site"), and how to ask us to remove something.

Where our content comes from. Our tier list boards are built from text labels — character names, brand names, team names and similar. Naming a work or character in order to rank or discuss it is ordinary referential use and does not copy the work itself.

Any images you place on a board are chosen and uploaded by you, from your own device. They are processed in your browser and are not stored on our servers. We do not host a public library of user-uploaded artwork.

Reporting alleged infringement

If you own a copyright, or are authorised to act for the owner, and believe material on the Site infringes it, email us with all of the following. Notices missing any item may not be actionable.

  1. The work. Identify the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, including a registration number if there is one.
  2. The material. Give the exact URL or URLs on this Site where it appears, precise enough for us to locate it.
  3. Your contact details. Full legal name, email address, postal address and telephone number.
  4. Good-faith statement. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Signature. Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do next

On receiving a complete notice we will review it promptly and remove or disable access to material we determine should come down. Removing material is not an admission that infringement occurred. If the material was contributed by an identifiable user, we will tell them what was removed and why.

If we removed something in error

If your material was taken down and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, email the same address with the subject line Counter-Notice. Include the material and its former location, your contact details, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake. Where the law requires it, we may restore the material after the applicable waiting period unless the complaining party notifies us that they have filed a court action.

Misuse of this process

Knowingly and materially misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please only file if you genuinely hold or represent the rights.

Repeat infringers

We will terminate access for anyone who repeatedly contributes infringing material, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion.

Trademarks

Character names, game titles, team names, brands and logos referred to on this Site remain the property of their respective owners. Tier List Maker is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher, studio, league, club or brand named on the Site. Names are used solely to identify the subject being ranked.
